I am a mom of two – Lilly and Silas are my “second full-time” job. My husband and I have made changes in our family life to be more environmentally friendly – the kids are our inspiration! The dental industry is a terrible producer of waste but small changes over time can make a large impact. We work with Terra Cycle, a Canadian company that specializes in recycling hard-to-recycle materials. Bring us your old toothbrushes, floss containers and toothpaste tubes and we will do the rest! 

We have yet to find an affordable decomposable toothbrush that we like, however, we LOVE the company Coco Floss and have their products available for purchase. Cocofloss

We are personally HOOKED on this floss. We use it every day without fail. It is soft and its composition allows for maximum plaque removal. It also comes in beautiful packaging with gorgeous flavours: mint, orange, coconut and strawberry.

Wonder what it feels like? We use it every day with our clients during your professional dental cleaning or you can ask us for a sample before you go! Cocofloss is available at the clinic for purchase for $9 for a 30m roll.

Waterpicks

Waterpicks are fabulous for non-flossers. They are like a pressure washer for your gums. I often find myself recommending waterpicks for my clients who suffer from deep gum pockets and bleeding gums. They are also wonderful around bridges and implants. We have them available at the clinic for $86.10 plus a $20.00 rebate.

Cocobrush

Firstly we love that this toothbrush is composed of ocean-bound plastic. Its bristles are extremely soft but bunched together very tightly so it really feels like you are getting a better clean with this brush. Very good for clients who are concerned about gum recession as the bristles are arranged in a very straight and flat design. X-Pur Cario Toothpaste

We LOVE Oral Science’s Cario toothpaste. Cario is great for kids. It is fluoride free (perfect for our young brushers – this toothpaste is safe to swallow) sodium lauryl sulfate/gluten free and contains XYLITOL! Xylitol is a natural sweetener that promotes salivation and has anti-cavity properties. It also tastes like bubblegum – YUM!

X-Pur Remin Toothpaste

Our X-pur Remin toothpaste is perfect for adults who struggle with cavities, sensitive root surfaces, demineralization or have an acidic diet. It uses nano<mHAP> - What is this, you ask? Nano medical hydroxyapatite is an ingredient almost identical to the hydroxyapatite found in tooth enamel and dentin. This toothpaste literally helps re-build your tooth enamel!

X-pur Pastilles

These pastilles come in mint and fruit flavor. They have a low glycemic index, gluten/GMO free, aspartame/sugar free AND increase salivation/fight cavities. I recommend these for my clients who suffer from dry mouth and/or are diagnosed with new cavities when they have their dental appointments. Their active ingredient is XYLITOL.
